Hong Kong Harbour Best Chinese in Town

Dear Readers,

Went to my FAVORITE Chinese restaurant last night, and I wondered why I did not start write this review yet.
The restaurant is Hong Kong Harbour.
Addess: 2184 Cheshire Bridge Rd NE
Atlanta, GA 30324
Phone: (404) 325-7630
There are many reasons why I love this restaurant; one being it’s convenient hours of 11:00am to 1:00 am Sunday through Thursday, and 11:00am to 3:00am Fridays and Saturdays (Atlanta lacks the local late night diners and etc).
Along with Hong Kong Harbour’s hours, the food is great! Their Wonton soup is the best I’ve ever tasted.
I have my favorite foods I order from the restaurant already (I go to this place about 1 every 2 weeks…)
Just as a side note, unless you are a competitive eater, one entree is good for two people.
I usually get a bowl of Wonton Soup to split and a Dragon and Phoenix (a mix of chicken and shrimp with mixed vegetable). I change up with the Mongolian Beef, and Sesame Chicken too.
This restaurant is like other Chinese restaurant as far as the food on the menu goes, but its so so so so sooooooooooooo much better than that!!!!
The food is much better and the portions are much bigger, but there is more. If you decide to take my advice and decide to go to Hong Kong Harbour, always ask for the lady waitress. (she is the only female waitress that works there, and I think she works there everyday)
I wish I knew her name and when I find out, I will let you know!!
She is FABULOUS!!! Great service!!! She is attentive to your needs, and she talks the most english… not really saying much, but it’s a plus nonetheless.
My meal there usually comes out to be about $20 which includes tip and this check just fed two people.
The food is different here I promise!! If you are looking for a dependable Chinese restaurant in Atlanta, try this place out!!!!!!
Hope you love this place as much as I do.

So long,
Young

Gino’s NY Pizza Bar

Dear Readers,

Tried Gino’s NY Pizza Bar for the first time (Sunday, 8/5/2012).
Address: 1740 Cheshire Bridge Rd NE
Atlanta, GA 30324
Phone: 404-874-4466
Overall experience of the Gino’s NY Pizza Bar was OKAY at best.
Let me break down the definition of OKAY.
Gino’s is a big restaurant with 2 separate sitting areas and an outside patio.
The decor was updated from the pervious restaurant Franco’s with a more contemporary design aesthetics; it was a fresh look to the classic corner.
As we walked into the restaurant, the host greeted us right away and told us to sit anywhere we liked.
The booth we requested took couple minutes to clean up; while I do understand the circumstance of a busy night, if only four tables are occupied, the table should have been cleaned up faster.
Their menu displayed a good selection of salads, pasta, pizza, and others with reasonable prices for both college students and large families.
Although their menu was good; the drink selection needed to be broader.
Only having couple types of beers (which are not even listed) and wines at a pizza BAR is not going to cut it.
Our waitress is a sweet girl, but there are things some people are just not meant to do, and for her it is waitressing. (No T No Shade)
Consistently having to ask for a refill on the water, not taking used dirty napkins off the table, checking on us maybe once or twice, and not having the unlisted drink menu memorized, she could have used more training.
I understand this could be harsh, but this is Midtown/Cheshire area (People want great service).
At Gino’s NY Pizza Bar, we ordered the bruschetta for appetizer and a medium sized pizza as our entree.
Starting with the appetizer, the bruschetta was excellent with a sweet and citrus taste; it was prepared on a pool of olive oil, with six toasts with diced tomatoes and onions, and all drizzled with balsamic.
As for the pizza, it was same old same old pizza.
We ordered half the pizza with spinach, mushroom, and jalapeƱos, and the other half with pepperoni, sausage, and ham.
The meal was for two, and it was plenty of food for both of us; we had couple bites left over and we were stuffed (perfect for families and college students).
My overall feeling was OKAY at best.
I will definitely try the restaurant again to try the other varieties of entrees on the menu to see if they can redeem my views of the restaurant.
The meal was around $25.00…

So long,
Young

PS please excuse my bad grammar and spelling....

About Me

Dear Readers,
My name is Young and I am the blogger behind Hungry Atlanta.
Let me start out my first post with a short introduction about myself and what I will be doing with Hungry Atlanta.
I am a 20 year old Korean male and I currently attend Georgia Institute of Technology.
I love to do the things most people like to do… EAT!!!
Inability to cook for myself due to a lack of culinary skills, I have fallen victim to the Atlanta restaurant scene.
So to justify my expenses, I created this blog to share my thoughts, opinions, and feelings about the places I venture to eat.
Be warned, this blog is an opinion based blog; I will consider the other reviews out and about, but it will be mostly about my personal experience at the particular restaurant.
My visits will be locally owned restaurants that do little advertising to get across to the masses (why not help out when I can).
I am no connoisseur of food, but I do know a good meal when I have one; I see my inexperience in food to be a fresh opinion on restaurants and allows the blog to reach a wider range of crowd.
This blog will not only deal with the food, but the restaurant as a whole, my overall feelings on the atmosphere, price, service, and quality, which really makes the whole restaurant experience.
I enjoy all varieties of food and I am not a picky eater, which should make me perfect for a blog like this.
Restaurants chosen will be at random depending on my carvings, and I do already have my favorites, and I will continue to write reviews every time I go to the same restaurants (My opinions may change).
As the blog goes on, I will continue to peel the layers of myself in order to be more relatable to the followers I hope to have, but for now this is it.
I do want Hungry Atlanta is be a successful blog for which people can use to find what they would like, and use it to find new restaurants to try locally.
So long,
Young
